Brazilian Buttocks Reshape – What is Gluteoplasty?
Gluteoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at increasing the size and shape of the gluteus. This procedure augments the area of the gluteus by adding injected fat grafted from your own body.
A more popular word for Gluteoplasty is “Brazilian Butt Lift”. Why “Brazilian butt”? We think the procedure got its name after the known fact that Brazilian women exhibit feminine bodies with lifted rounded curves. The demand for this procedure has increased rapidly in the last few years.
Best Brazilian Plastic Surgeon in London Dr Maurino Joffily specialises in body contouring and Vaser Liposuction with more than 17 years of experience.
The Brazilian Butt lift allows patients to knock out two surgeries at once.
First, liposuction is performed allowing the patient to get rid of unwanted fat; be it around the waist or the love handles, saddle bags or the abdomen.
Next, the fat is transferred to an area where it is desirable—namely the buttocks. Using fat instead of synthetic materials is preferable because the fat is more pliable and it gives the plastic surgeon more control over where it will go and how the patient will look following the surgery.
The buttock area is divided into three different sub-areas: upper, mid and lower gluteus. Even though there are several techniques to achieve the results, the upper and mid gluteus are the areas that most interventions focus on.
There are several conditions that require this surgery. Some of the most important ones are the bilateral gluteus hypoplasia (lack of volume), unilateral congenital atrophy (lack of growth since birth), unilateral acquired atrophy (lack of development before a trauma) and unilateral agenesis.
Taking into account your situation, Dr. Joffily will decide the technique of fat grafting. Other factors, such as the shape of your body, hips, gluteus and the condition to be improved will be also considered.
Due to the minimally-invasive nature of the treatment, downtime is minimal and you will normally be allowed to return home the same day after the procedure has been performed. However, because there may be some bruising and swelling, it is best to wait for one to two weeks before you hit the gym or before you do any rigorous physical activity. Depending on the nature of your profession and individual case, we normally advise taking a few days off work to achieve the best results.
